We had to choose between the via ferrata here at Cap Jaseaux or at Saguenay Fjord National Park. We are so glad we picked Cap Jaseaux. Travelling with three teens (17, 15, 13), it can be extremely challenging to find activities that the whole family enjoys. The via ferrata was one of the most amazing experiences we have had in all our travels. The climb was exciting, challenging, and sometimes scary -- not too high, but definitely high enough. However, between the equipment and the guide, we always felt safe and confident.
Our guide, Vincent, was amazing. He was engaging and comfortable, and provided the perfect balance of support and encouragement for all of our family to push ourselves to have an amazing experience.
Can't say enough good things about our morning on the Via Ferrata. We got off the course and wanted to get right back on to do it again.
This trip took us to Montreal, Quebec City, Saguenay Fjord, the Bay of Fundy, and Acadia National Park, and I think my whole family would agree that the Via Ferrata was one of the top highlights.
Thanks again Vincent!

With our 3 and 6 yr old kids, we went to explore the bambino trail at Cap Jaseaux. It was a 45 drive from Saguenay. We paid $10.75 for 2 kids and 2 adults (1 adult was free with 2 kids). The bambino trail is open all day (May through Oct) without reservation. It's a short trail with different diciplines: bridges, ropes, balancing, cables, nets and swings. All in the forest, close to the entrance, right next to the campground. It was challenging for our youngest, but very doable for our oldest. They had fun for almost 2hrs. We've combined the visit with a lunch at La Vieille Ferme, just down the road. Great combi!

We didn't stay here, we just booked the morning Via Ferrata and ended up being the only 2 so could go at our own pace. It started off fairly easy but then got super interesting. Just challenging enough to make it interesting but not so scary that I couldn't continue. I thought it was great value for what we did and I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes amateur rock climbing activities. You're basically hanging off the fjord! Very cool

Loved this place! We stayed in a treehouse in the forest, 40 feet up! The treehouse had two flights of stairs, a double bed and 4 single beds in the loft. The hut was well-equipped with cooking utensils and a BBQ. Our girls loved it and my husband and I felt like kids staying in a fort! The next morning we spent 3 hours on the ropes course/zip lines. Very fun excursion for kids and adults! Would definitely return!
