I was told this is the only tourist site in the city, and it didn't fail to charm us with its bit of history. true, it's renovated, but I'm just glad to see some real historical structures after almost week shuffling between meetings in Al jouf.

bonus: visit the quaint coffee shop beside the castle for some Arabic treats in the evening.

I didn't have a chance to go up the castle, so I won't comment on the interiors.

This is an originally historic Nabataean castle, that was built then and got renovated or re-built later, and kept the region secured for a long time, I had a good look at it from the outside, but unfortunately did not see it from the inside because I was told that climbing up to the castle is a difficult task, I walked around it and had coffee in the adjacent Ta’aleel cafe.

Great place to visit to see an example of a Castle from the Nebataean Period from the 1st Century BC. The current building was built on top of the original over 200 years ago.

This historical fort sits atop a large sandstone hill. At the bottom, you can find some slightly renovated mud/adobe homes which give you a glimpse into how the people used to live in this region. Next to the remnants of the village is a charming cafe which has an adjacent garden seating area which affords you a nice vies of the ruins.

A short drive away, you can find the entrance to the hilltop fort which provides a fantastic view of Skaka.

This Castle on the top of the stony mountain is a majestic landmark of this place. It is visible upon entering the town and impossible to miss this place. The castle was maintained and restored well and taking pictures within and around the castle is very commendable. There is a very nice coffee shop at the foot of the mountain where you can relax while enjoy the view. Point to consider in improving this place is preventing bring bottled or canned drinks and foods while entering the vicinity, to prevent the litter of plastics and cans on the floor. The parking for cars is never a problem because it is not always busy as the locals told us. It might interest you also the old Mud Houses ariund the foot of the mountain right along with the coffee house.

There is a great view of Sakaka from the Castle, and that's about it. very sparse small castle, the turrets have very small doors and no large windows to view from when inside. A typical fortress, steep steps to gain access. Great place to take pictures of the sunset.

It's a poor architecture but it was used as a defensive place over the years , the cure building was built around 400 years ago on the ruins of an old fort which dates back to 900 years ago which is believed to be built on Anbat era in the 1st century
