This review is not so much about the antiques market itself as it is about the surrounding area. It may seem oftopic but it is not. To get to the market you have to get through the crowd of bystanders trying to sell you stollen...More

We loved this place. It's huge and once you get past the clothing stores, there are some wonderful finds of a retro and antique nature. I don't agree that it's over-priced, we found some great bargains, you just have to look. Lovely eating places for...More

We found very little in the flea market areas. Mostly highly priced large antiques, furniture and vases etc and high prices. It is a good walk from Clignancourt Metro passing through a poorer area of Paris with street vendors trying to stop you to buy....More

If you enjoy a good flea market and/or antiques, this is a must see. I could have spent days here. A bunch of different markets, each with a different character, clustered together in a neighborhood. A few parts were more like a swap meet with...More

This area is filled with different stalls and stores selling all sorts of things, collectibles and antiques. You could spend all day browsing through this area, great to bargain hunt and get souvenirs.

First thing which really distracts is bunch of dodgy stuff sellers - glasses, phones and etc. There are a lot of young guys standing in the street and looking to everyone. Why? Well, probably not to give you a gift of 100 euros, but probably...More

Forget the kids, the sheer size of this famous market is quite daunting and it is made up of narrow avenues of hundreds of stalls selling antiques of all kinds. The highlight of the market is definitely the avenue of the most beautiful antique furniture...More

Getting there is easy. Finding anything that is not overpriced is difficult. Even though we bought a few items, this is a large number of professional dealers that sell antiques at above-market rates. And the outer ring of stalls is essentially fake clothes, shoes, watches,...More

Would this be a good place to buy decent French furniture (a wardrobe, dresser, side tables?) for my new house Went years ago and bought an antique chandelier and wondered if it still has some great vendors?

Definitely. Was there in February and saw a great range of vendors from budget to high end, market stalls to upmarket shops, modern pieces and antique French.
