Don't pass up a chance to see the Cathedral di San Feliciano. Students of church design need to visit this place.

This cathedral door shows Frederick Barbarossa and Pope Innocent III who started a new age of harmony. Inspiring canvases and frescos. With a beautiful baldachin, almost the same as in the Saint Peter in Rome, hoovering over the altar. A place for workship and prayer.

Inside you will find the church very similar to the Basilica S. Pietro in Rome: The baldacchino is a Replica. As All italina churches a Must see.

What immediately captures the eye is the "baldachino" over the main altar,a reprodution done in 1698,with a few variables,of the one in St.Peter's in...More

As I write this, I realize that while this church is not overly-special for Italy, it would be a "must see" attraction if located anywhere in the US. The lovely pink and white façade is particularly fine. The internal church museum is worth a visit.

My husband and I were using Foligno as a base from which to visit the amazing l'Infiorata celebration in nearby Spello, so had not researched Foligno. As we were walking to the train station, we stopped in Piazza Repubblica, and were amazed at what we...More
