There is no other place like the old town of Cáceres. You should also know that it has been the scenario where tv shows like Games of Thrones or Still Star Crossed have recently recorded their episodes.

We specifically visited Caceres to see the old town. There is a very lovely regional museum that is worth the stop.

This is a really beautiful and easily navigated town on foot. There are many interesting small (and steep) streets and alleyways to wander round as well as a number of specifically interesting sites. Well worth a full day and night stay at least.

Amazed that this town isn't better known in U.K. It is an ancient city along the lines of Carcassonne in France. Well worth a wander around the ancient buildings
