Monteriggioni and the surrounding Tuscan countryside is breath taking. There is a magnificent little hotel near by that offers superb accommodations, dining, and food.

This is a beautiful restoration of the castle and as of Oct. 2018 still in progress. There are shops there that seem to have the place a bit over commercialized. The goods are nice and authentic yet can be had elsewhere for better prices. However...More

Monteriggioni is perfectly preserved and very compact. Good parking and access. Nice restaurants in the square. Walls very impressive - take a walk on the walls, it's great. With 1 ticket of 3 euro, you can visit everything.

Quant village with shops and restaurants. Not overcrowded like Siena or San Gimignano. The walk along the wall has beautiful views of the countryside.
