We were fortunate to visit early on a day with very few others around. Actually found the castle while lost so considered ourselves very lucky. Signage around the castle grounds was very interesting allowing us to picture what once was there & imagine the way...More

Late morning coffee with a stunning view out to sea. Great place to kick back and chill out. Staff great. They do serve food but we still full from our previous nights exploits.

The castle is on a seaside hill overlooking the sea, the town, and the countryside. It is well maintained and worth a short visit. Short because one gets spoiled with great castles and great views in Portugal.

A really good thing to do if the weather isn't too hot and fantastic views. Cemetery is interesting too.

Steep hike. Stairs. Or by car or bus. Bird's eye view of the town and its harbor, along with the hills surrounding the historic town.

Gone for a walk up to the castle. The view is just breathtaking! You have to visit it. When you get there, you can relax with a drink or snack at a little cafe with chairs outside. You will truly enjoy it, it's simply amazing.

Go early morning or late night for a very special experience alone in the castle. You can climb the walls and get a beautiful view of charming Sesimbra from above. Take the steps/path from the town, some 300 metres height over some 1000 metres run....More
