About
Praia da Foz Beach has a sand of reasonable size, located in a cove. At north there's a promontory of remarkable height. Further south the beach is bounded by a rocky platform with a flat top, nearly the same size of the sandy area. Sea waters can be rough and having tricky currents. The beach is mainly attended by fishermen. Access is beside the north side of the rocky slab.

Praia de Foz has a relatively small beach, but is surrounded by beautiful cliffs. There is a stretch of rock you can walk around on as well, with little tide pools, etc.. If it's the middle of summer, the small beach area may be too crowded for comfort, but otherwise, it's a scenic beach. There are no services to speak of, however; Meco Beach and others are close by for that.

A little of the beaten track, this beach offers protection from wind and lots of heat even during cloudy days.
We found our own private spot within the rocks, with a gentle sandy slope we could relax, lunch, and watch the waves rolling and crashing.
As the afternoon moved on numbers arriving increased to nearly 20, so you always have privacy.
Just remember to take all of your own supplies as there are no shops or bars near by.

Wow what a great find for a picnic spot after visiting Cabo Espichel - lava flow beach with sandy strip for sunbathing - dramatic waves and very strong current don’t recommend going in the sea although a few locals were brave enough to take a quick dip to cool off!! Loadsa rock pools amongst the lava for crab spotting - wear sturdy shoes - easy walk from car park right by beach

This beach is so nice. A gemm in your way to Ericeira, from Colares. Great sand, so clear and clean. The wind, the waves, just perfect for visiting to anyone in this area.

A little cosy sandy beach, which is surrounded by beautiful rocks, offers protection from wind and lots of heat even during cloudy days. The same rocks can provide you with shadow in hot sunny days. Due to rather difficult access, it is not really crowded.
You can enjoy the waves of the ocean and feel complete relaxation.
Just remember to take all of your own supplies and especially water as there are no shops or bars nearby.
