Located next to the sea this famous temple boasts of a long history which is wonderfully depicted in the daily evening 'light n sound'shows. A very clean temple with large spaces for the milling devotees with the blue sea waters in the backdrop this is a must see when visiting Gujarat.

The place is fabulous and one would never want to leave this place until you have to. The views are breathtaking, and compared to none.

The openness, broad minded attitude, progressive beliefs and oldest faith of mankind " The Hinduism " have attracted generations through centuries. When we visit Somnath temple we get mix of all feelings. This is one of the few cleanest temples I have visited though not free of swarms of flowers sellers and beggars at the entrance . Once you are... More

Jyotirlinga Temple. Magnificent Temple. Electronic device not allowed in. There's a locker room to deposit articles for the pilgrims free of charge. After Security check is done walk straight into the temple. Darshan next. Peace of mind guaranteed. Coming around the temple complex gives another kind of experience. Absolute spiritualism.

It is really great feeling of divinity watching the Aarti at Somnath Temple the abode of Lord Shiva with First of 11 Shivlings in India. It has very enchanting History of grand Temple with great richness being plundered by Muslin invaders again and again to be rebuilt again with much greater grandeur. The present one having been built after India,s... More

Visited Somnath jyotirling third time.in my life. Only difference from earlier visit was young children who find.such places boring n a unattractive. One has to walk about 200 meters from parking first to deposit your mobile belt n bags etc. Then your.shoes and you have to walk.in huge compound covering all places bare foot. Place is not very clear at... More

This temple was reconstructed by Queen Ahilya Devi of Indore. It's told that this temple was reconstructed after the Mughal attacks.

The temple is situated in Somnath, Gujarat, 45 minutes drive from Sasan, Gir. The city is small but spacious. The temple was beyond description - so vast, so magnificent. The temple was plundered and demolished number of times. The present structure was built in event past based on Chalukya Arcitecture. The place and environment around is so positive that you...
