It's a nice place to visit. But you need to climb a little bit which is difficult there due to high altitude.

Beautiful monastery, some of it left to go to ruin, some well maintained, some new construction. Stunning setting, and the whole trip from Nimmu is a festival of stark rocks, mountains, fabulous views. And the road sign advices are funny!

A must drop as you drive on Leh- Srinagar Highway. Lamayuru also known as The Moonland of Leh, Ladakh because it resembles the moon surface. A great day bike trip with amazing road and spectacular sceneries. It's major attraction is Lamayuru Monestary.

This place is about 100 km from Leh on Leh-Srinagar road. This beauty of the place is almost impossible to imagine. The mud mountains surrounded by mountains of hard rock gives the place a dreamlike look.

Lamayuru is also referred as Moonland in Leh-Ladakh because of its terrain which resembles the moon's surface. The serpentine roads and amazing backdrop gives a perfect opportunity to click spectacular pics... dont miss it if you're on your way to Leh via Srinagar.
