Nice place geographically, but i guess we have chosen wrong weather to go there. The place was very dry, not even single drop of water in the falls. even the river was shallow. However the boat ride was good. We can go but only in monsoon or post monsoon only. Big No for summer season(March to June)

Hogenakkal falls on River Kaveri is located in a place called Dharmapuri in Tamil Nadu. There is a suspended iron bridge from where you can see the streams of water falling from a height. There is a ticket of Rs.5/- to get into the bridge. You are allowed there only for 5 minutes. The view was awesome. The place is... More

I had been with my wife and friends from Bangalore. When we reached over there few shops were closed and tourists were negligible. The best time to go is from Oct - mid of march as there will be running water. We were there yesterday, and there was no sign of any flowing water. Water in the river was stagnant... More

It was great to see this awesome water fall on River Kaveri. The great height from which the water falls nearly converts some part of the water into mist. Often referred to as Niagara falls of India, it was amazing to see the seven channels into which kaveri water segregates and falls. The water creates a pool at the bottom.... More

I have ever gone closest to one of the biggest falls is this. Never imagined that I will enjoy so much at the falls. One of the amazing thing is the snacks are sold in the moving boat(Teppa) shops.

Ultimately we were off to our journey at 8.45 am. Went straight into Bangalore University–Kengeri ring road-Mysore road and then reached NICE road.... More

This is one of my most memorable trips. The view is amazing. Wish it can be maintained well. People are throwing plastics everywhere and its bit dirty.

There are boat rides available in these round boats which are pretty fun to do. You can take these rides and spend some time on the shores. Get some decent enough fish fry to eat. However, there are open air massage parlours along the falls which is pretty weird.

A must see place with breathtaking views and the thrilling coracle ride! But unfortunately the place is not maintained properly, You can see plastic and food waste everywhere even in the river, there are sign boards placed which tells to keep the place clean but is of no use. "KIDS BELOW 7 YEARS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN CORACLE RIDE"
