Came upon this baroque church as we walked round the island. There had been a wedding the day before and confetti seemed to be everywhere. Inside, it was very small and quaint with beautiful floral displays. Walls and ceiling were decorated with lovely frescos.

We actually stopped by this small Catholic church while waiting for the ferry. Nicer than I expected, especially the altar and the silver and gold cardinals' busts. Very accessible next to the ferry pier.

When traversing the island, this small church offers some tranquil respite from the heat, the hiking and the crowds.

While in the area it's well worth taking in a visit here. It's authentic & very beautiful & has seen many generations of locals in it's time.

A beautiful surprise on this very busy little island. Definitely worth popping your head in or attending mass. It is small and perfectly formed, serving the local community with stunning frescoes and mosaic floor. I love the Madonna with the star lit halo.
