Don't go in March

This hill is huge! We went in March and the conditions were just not great. I'm a novice skier, so I was a little intimidated. Go when the skiing conditions are better.

Nice resort, good food, very quiet in the evenings. Good quick lift system nice on the mountain but most mornings took over an hour to get on the mountain.

I went to Schladming skiing during half term with adults and teenagers. Nearly all slopes are red runs so excellent for intermediate and advanced skiers. The lifts on the mountain appear new and are 6-8 man lifts and fast. During the busiest time of the year the slopes were not crowded. There are 4 mountains to cover in the area... More

Love the Hochwurzen slopes. All high starts with long wide tree-lined pistes to chairs/gondola or to the bottom if you wish. All beautifully connected. The only thing is once you have skied all the way to the bottom of the Planai West gondola you probably wont do that again! We always got the gondola to the bottom as the snow... More

Nice ski resort, however but if you want to have a good variety of slopes incl. the connection to Hochwurzen and Reiteralm, you have to ski down to the Valley. If there is not enough snow or if it is already late in the season this can be quite painful.

For us it is one of the best (if not the best) ski resorts in north-east Alps. Last time we were here about ten years ago. The new parking in Schladming is huge improvement. Slopes in the morning are perfect. Ski lifts were open few minutes _before_ opening time so we started early. Beside Planai there are 3 other hills... More

It's cold up there! We recommend ermine and sable or, failing that, cotton and linen or even one of those modern fabrics.

We have spent here one week in february for skiing. The schladming ski resort has 4 hills. For us planai was the best. Why? - enough slopes for skiers with intermediate or higher skills - slopes are really long which is very enjoyable - to ski down you can choose from many choises so you will not be bored When... We came here for our first ski holiday after a recommendation from our friends, and are already planning to come again! The technology of the lifts is amazing as they have recently renewed most of the lifts and there are so many places to stop for lunch on the slopes. There is a wide variety of slopes - a few...
