Do not miss the video that explains the regional history, the origin of confidentiality (the couriers were protected). Lost of costumes and artifacts. Quite educational but in an interesting way.

The Gotthard is the Castel of water of Europe. If you take the old road, the Tremola, you can see many small waterfalls. The old bridges, the paved road and the few small vllages you pass by,

Lots of serpentine twists and turns with stunning views. Not recommended in the wet or dark(or both).

the swiss bike path north-south route goes over the gotthard pass and it is awesome! quite hard on the way up but it´s totally worth it on the way down! long serpentine roads for kilometers! i you have a bike you should go here!

Amazing breathtaking views on the way up and down the hill! Its worth skipping the Gotthard tunnel to see these views. We will not forget.
