While traveling from Munich to Salzburg, my family and I stopped here because we wanted to see a castle. From the beginning, all the staff were extremely nice. They told us about the app they had that had an audio tour explaining the different things...More

We visited Kufstein on a whim and so happy we did. Stunning scenery, wonderful people, perfect. The Fortress gives a history insight along with unsurpassed views. All our friends think we built a massive snowman in the alps - this was a 15cm version on...More

We visited Kufstein during a short travel through Germany, Austria and Italy to see a few towns and their Christmas Markets. Kufstein was a pleasant surprise, both for its castle and its Christmas markets (especially the one inside the castle). We appreciated very much our...More

The Fort you can access via a elevator. The fort has some exhibitions which are not suitable for children mainly (torture techniques). Views from the Fort a however very nice. What we really liked was the organ-play at noon (everyday). Great!!

The fortress is extensive, beautifully restored with lots of stairs, small rooms and even underground tunnels. The tour is interesting, well-marked and informative. The view is superb. You access it by funicular (included in ticket price) or long, steep climb. The fortress was started around...More

This fortress is the main landmark in Kufstein. It’s on a hill so dominates the landscape. It was 12 euros each to go up to see it. There is the Kaiser Maximilian funicular railway that can take you up to it or the stairs. We...More

There is an audio tour that you can download and do your own guided tour. It was a bit long in places for me, but then you can just skip to the next bit. I can't remember if they did tours led by a human guide or not. Sorry.
