This castle doesn't really offer much to see, and, in my opinion, not really worth the admission price. There is no signage so you really must buy an audioguide, which should really be included. I did not but it, and maybe that's why I wasn't terribly impressed. However, there was a falconry show that I did really enjoy. The man... More

It was a cold and rainy day, a day as the original inhabitants must have experienced many a time inside the castle fort. You are free to roam the castle fort and you really get a feel for the harsh living conditions people had to endure. The seeming endless amount of stairs and passageways make you feel like an explorer... More

The castle is a fun activity all year round, although I would definitely recommend going when the weather is nicer. We went in February on a rainy day and while we had dressed for the cold, but the rain was a bit of a downer! Spectacular "playground" for kids and some interesting history for adults, so this is a trip... More

Lovely castle with a very interesting history. The visit is well worth the money. And the scenery from atop the tower is stunning...

Easy, relax shoes for all day walking. Warm clothes accord. to season. But inside is colder then outside. There are too many spots for photos.Especially the don jon of the castle. We have visited it with our kids 10 & 13 years boys. So, it was good for them as it gives real feeling of a castle with tunnels, knights tools... More

The Citadel is on top of a hill where the river semois makes an oxbow. Therefore the view from the citadel is unmatched. Exhibits are quite ordinary, and there are hardly any descriptive signages. When we went there, they were playing Gregorian chants, and followed it up with Troubadour music on the speaker system. Effect was quite magical. But they... More

The visit was worth for the views of the city. It costs 5e per adult and I really like it. However, I think if you visit it once you never visit it again; at least in my opinion.

We drove from Luxembourg to visit the castle. It was about an hours drive. There are beautiful panoramic views from this castle. Toured the castle and realized we were in time for one of the Falconry - Birds of Prey shows they have on the weekend. It was spectacular. The falconer (sorry I can't remember his name) was excellent. He... More

This is a top site even for Belgium with its 3000 castles. The castle is vast and very well preserved. You can spend hours walking around the 30-stop itinerary walking the ramparts, enjoying the panorama on the Semois river, visiting the dungeons, ... Definitely worth visiting in combination with the Ducal museum and the Archeoscope, if you can spend the... More
