The presentation was a informative and interesting. There was a technical issue with the beginning of the presentation, but we saw the exhibit upstairs while we waited for it to be fixed. Parts of the static exhibit were also not working. The cost is reasonable so I'd still recommend it.

If you have finished all to do & see in Bouillon and like to learn much more about the Crusades and Godfrey, then maybe you can try. Otherwise not worth to see when you compare cost/time balance. We liked the corner with knights costumes..which kids can dressed up and we could take photos. And it was for free.

The archeoscope is located in an ancient monastery and explains the history of the first crusade led by Godfrey of Bouillon. It's a good visit in combination with the caste across the river. Check timing since the show starts only at fixed moments. In the exhibition afterwards, you can learn more about the crusades and the difficult relations between the... More

Not outstandingly brilliant, but easy to follow and worth knowing before heading for the castle if you are not from the area, as everything if named after Godfrey. Laid out in a fun way which the boys enjoyed, and they also have leaflets on the area at the same site.

A really disappointing visit. First we had to wait quite some time before the visit could start. Then the visit consisted of some video animations. The second one was cut by a power failure. We then had to wait over 20 minutes for the restart. Very limited information. In the expo after the animation, quite some things were shabby and... More

Go here before you visit the castle if you want a better idea of the history. It was well explained and laid out. Some good effects, kids would love it!

After the visit in Archeosope we understood the history of the castle. Great. They also have english language available, during the "show". I recomend this museum to everyone who wants also visit the castle.

Intersting to hear about the crusades and the role that Godfroy played in the them. But the technical details were less than impressive. the sound track broke down three minutes or so from the end and was of patchy quality throughout, the seating was very comfortable and the headphones were of really cheap quality. The museum section had sopme interesting... More

It's somewhere between "average" and "very good" I guess my kids were a bit too old, and I knew a bit too much, to really enjoy the visit, but I have to say that they do their best in different multimedia shows to present astronomy to the broad public, in particular ESA related activities. The park outside is quite nice... More
