While walking on the ramparts of Fredericia you get to feel the history of the area and the one of danish military history. Its a nice walk, when in the city, or place for a morning jog.

This is a very pleasant walk in a fine day and I believe you can climb to the top of the tower to get a great view but we didn't have time.

The volts is a fortification with accompanying moats. The walks are all well marked and an interesting information sheet. The walk takes you almost all the way around the town. The tower is worth going up for the view but you have to pay for...More

This is a well-preserved park, surrounded by ramparts. It is a bit hilly in parts. There are many things to see here: the brave soldier statue, a city gate, a tower (you can go inside), and some cannons. While we were there, we could see...More

We loved our day in Fredericia from our cruise ship. Everyone in the town seemed delighted to welcome their visitors. A special market had been set up not far from the dock with beautiful hand made items for sale. The town band welcomed the ship...More

We visited the Fredericia ‘Vold’ whilst visiting the town during a day stop over. We had used a local walking tour but with a bit of pre planning and investigation, the visitor could quite easily conduct themselves around the town themselves. The ‘Vold’ is a...More

Although not high on a cruisers priority list, the town of Fredericia is well worth a walk. From the ship we collected a town walkers map outside the port and had a very pleasant meander through the Old Town and up on the Wall seeing...More

If you like walking through green areas then this is a must do. Getting to understand how the city was built for defense is thrilling.
