Took the high speed Renfre Train from Barcelona Sants,Station.......a 37min ride. The old town with its narrow cobblestone streets and many churches and museums was very interesting and fascinating.................the whole area was spotlessly clean and had many fine restaurants...........we spent the whole day exploring the area which was most enjoyable A very worthwhile day trip from Barcelona!!

Beautiful views and the small bar in the centre of the town is a must visit for tapas and refreshments.

Did not know Girona had such a nice old town centre. Really nice walking around there and seeing lots of old stonehouses. Walking the city wall is also a really nice walk with a fine view on the city. There a many good restaurants in the old centre.

Centuries of History unfolds at every turn. Many very attractive homes in rich stone course. Dotted with a few shops and bars. Bar Vila Vella is only open at weekends. A nice place to have a drink during your tour Best go early before the main tours start

We came for a destination wedding. Had to walk to the top on cobblestone streets, the wedding procession was something out of an old romantic movie. Felt safe, and enjoyed every minute.

Try the train too but both bars are special - 1) overlooking the Meditteranean Sea & 2) overlooking Tossa
