Faro is probably the nicest place in Gran Canaria and has many lovely restaurants, bars, shops and hotels but is not the cheapest but you get what you pay for in life.

Worth a look on the way to the dunes but nothing special. A public car park 5mins walk away if you have the car. There are a few overpriced tourists restaurants and a nice walkway.

We came out after dinner for a little walk around to see what was about. The lighthouse is beautiful and so is the surrounding area.
