A nice quiet place for a stroll around a little hilly in places. Please be aware it is not open at week ends.

Went to visit after seeing reviews. The plants were very sparse and many repeats. Such a shame as the garden has such potential.

Free entrance and somewhere to sit in the shade. Lovely plants some very different from home. A bit of a walk to find but walk up the hill past the gardens and you have a lovely view too.

Tucked between two roads, you could be forgiven for missing this little gem. Not large but beautifully formed! Teeming with birds and butterflies amongst the unusual plants.

In this small garden you can find trees and bushes from all corners of the world. We visited the garden in January but our friends told us that in March there would be much more flowering trees. But always worth visiting if you are a plant lover.

This sort of attraction is best seen in spring or summer, I suppose. But for a December visit most people won't have very high expectations. So it was a pleasant place to wander around realising that there is not going to be as much to see just before Christmas as in the rest of the year. It was interesting to... More

We visited the park because it was right next to our hotel, but it was worth a walk around. As in the title, probably better in full season, as the plants didn't look at their best at this time of year. However, it was nice to have a quiet wander and see some interesting exhibits - and it's FREE! Probably... More

We had a stroll around the free botanic gardens one morning before it got too hot. It was really interesting - particularly the species of cacti and the strange sausage tree from Africa! Lovely colours and there were lots of butterflies. I'm not a botanist by any means but enjoyed a little stroll round and found it very relaxing. Would... More

Free entry which was great!. NB - it shuts on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, which seems odd, unless they didn't want crowds of people clogging up the place. It was very quiet when I visited one morning at around 10:45. There were some interesting looking palm trees and other prickly looking things. I was also pleasant surprised by some... More
