I jumped the first time in end of september alone, with sunset going down 🔥
Then 3 times more in end of october and begining of november.
Very calm at this période and no kayak.

My personal advise : the best way to go in it : Jumping !
Better to have running of flip flop with u to get out with sharps rocks.
Or have someone to bring u that when ou get out of the water.

When u go outside de corral take left and swim 100 to 150m meters, then u can get out.
Dont worry its easier u think cause u have 1m rocks under the sea near the exit, so u can walk!

I’ve read a few reviews saying to Kayak or to jump but no one saying how to get in if you just want to snorkel / swim in and out!
So the trip is scouting the entry / exit point. It’s the opposite end to the tunnel or entrance. Then walk down towards the sea and find a submerged ledge sloping in to the sea. Makes it nice and easy to get in. It’s about 75 metres swim around to the mouth of the cave then.
The journey down the rocks is interesting - they are razor sharp but made a wee pile of my clothes and got my mask and snorkel on.
Quite a few jellyfish on this Easter weekend but they are easily avoided.
A lovely swim / snorkel in and had the lagoon to myself and my family waving at the top. Plenty of shallow bits to stand and have a wee rest.
Swam back out and retrieved my clothes.
So you can swim in and out quite easily if you fancy it and I recommend it. Happy to leave the daft Cliff jumping to someone else but us oldies are more suited to a gentle swim!

This lagoon is a hidden cave that is very popular diver’s spot due to its crystal clear waters. From Little Armier Bay, you can get there by kayak or by foot and swim in this unusual, true beauty of nature! A lot of people are jumping off the top of the cave but be careful because the rocks surrounding lagoon are pretty harsh and might cut you. It is better to walk around with sneakers or water shoes.

Just beware that this lagoon is really beautiful but illegal to swim in it. Always ask the locals. Yesterday I watched a successful rescue operation for 3 people by the helicopter army, fire brigade and police who risked their lives to save others. The sea was so rough they jumped in but could not swim out.... so THINK TWICE..remember it is not only your life you risk but that of others who have a family waiting for them at home.

We rented a two person kayak from Little Armier Bay for 30 euro. That gave us 2 hours, which was just about perfect timing. The kayak trip took at least 30 minutes of hard paddling, which wore us out, but was very pretty. Once we got there, there was approximately 15-20 others already there. There were so many people, there were no fish or wildlife anywhere to be found. The photo below was at a different time when we waited for everyone to move for the perfect picture. The water was beautiful, just not what we hoped for. Malta in general was over crowded, extremely hot, dusty, and very expensive.

Simply a must-see on the island. If you rent a kayak, or don't mind a swim, visiting this lagoon from the inside is just spectacular.

About a 3 mile walk from Mellieha Bay Hotel along the shore, through wild flower strewn cliff tops, and down a road with vegetables growing in the fields. Turn right when you reach the end of the road and walk over the rocks to the far end.
Great for diving and photo shoots.
