This a good place to visit if you are into historical places and was great to develop my understanding regarding the second world war and air raids and was very cheap day out. The tour guide spoke like he was part of the war with the amount of knowledgeable information he shared to all the visitors

Visited in Jan this year and it was easy to find, well presented and very interesting. The old chap at the door was a mine of information (with some of it being correct!)

Have been here many times, because every time we take someone to Malta, we always end up bringing them here!! To step back in time in this unique Air Raid Shelter is something we should all experience. The Maltese Gentleman who has always been there on the entrance, is so proud of his Family connections and will talk to you... More

Good visit from Mellieha Bay for a winter walk - interesting talk from custodian at entrance - well worth the uphill walk from the shore line!

The fact that the Maltese islands suffered some of the worst bombing raids of the Second World War is historical fact and a visit to a site such as this provides an element of insight into the conditions that had to be endured. A well preserved experience of a more recent time in Malta's varied history.

I visited the shelter with my daughter who at first found it a bit scary but intriguing. It was a good look into our history and the curator was really nice and gave us some very interesting information. Well worth the visit especially for children who may be studying about the history of WW2 and Malta.

We have gone to Malta for three years and have always wanted to visit the air raid shelters. This year we made it. Entrance fee was 2.4€ per person. The Curator was very friendly, very informative and obviously knew Malta's history... The shelters were well presented and gave an insight to life during the War. Visual aids were helpful. We... We found this place to be very interesting and walked the whole of the shelter which is a lot bigger than I imagined it to be, there are little plaques dotted around with an insight of what it was like during the war years. All in all we liked it and worth every cent of €2.40 each

How big the caves were, how much work was involved digging out the tunnels, small areas where people lived in
