Beautiful Sunset

This place was built to help the villagers irrigate their durian plant and litchi or lengkeng plant. However, this place also become one of interesting place beautiful scenery especially if you climb up in the afternoon. I really enjoy my time when I have sat facing the sunset with the ancient volcano as the back ground.

Great view, a place to relax

Visited this place during sunset and it was beautiful! The climb to the top of the water reservoir or "embung" was quite tiring with lots of stairs. Because we visited quite late in the afternoon, the museum/chocolate factory was already closed so we didn't visit it.

Nothing special in this place. Just pool on the hills and you can see the sunset from here. Better for couples

Embung in ancient volcano

Located in ancient volcano area, embung nglanggeran is a new tourism object,built in 2013 in 78 days.the view is very good. It is the best place for relaxing.you can take picture there.

Beauty from above.

The view is very nice and tranquil. We walk further up thru jungle. We were surprise to find a small hut selling hot drink and instant noodle.The jungle have plenty of photographic opportunity for macro shot : insect and flower.

Best sunset panorama

This place is clean and well-organized. From Embung Nglanggeran, we can overlook the ancient volcano.

There are several posts for photographers to take sunset picture from higher land. Definitely worth the visit, especially before the sun sets.

Great view. You can see nglanggeran volcano and the surroundings from here. Good to come very early in the morning or before sun sets because it won't be too hot. Beware the stairs are a bit slippery. It is quite far from Yogyakarta city.
