It was nice to spend time at this beach watching the local kids jumping in the lagoon. The sand is black, so quite different to other beaches on IG. Worth a visit as it's only 10 mins walk from Abraao. We even had some violin...More

We were there on a Sunday and it was very busy, many Brazilian families with picnics and lots of cans of beer!! There wasn't a large area of sand exposed but where it was, it was soft and golden with swathes of black. Several rocks...More

We walked here from town in 10-15 minutes. The beach offers many small places to lie around. Be aware of the tide. Many children playing around. I believe it’s a nice place to go after visiting the ruins.

Beautiful beach with nice sand. Lovely walk to get there (10 mins from Abraoo) through a wooded area. Plenty of space on the beach and lovely water to cool down in.

After a little walk you'll arrive at a nice beach, with a cold water river forming a little lake. Really pleasant place.

Love this place the sand is amazing the way it is all black and there are beautiful rocks to add to the beauty of the place. They are not sharp.... it was amazing!

As part of a small loop in the north east of the island this beach is about 15min walk from Vila do Abraao. With plenty of sign posts once you enter the walk/national park area it's easy to find. It's a lot more private that...More
