The drive to the Playa del Silencio is lovely. When you arrive you can park your car and walk down to the beach. The rock formations are some of the most unique and beautiful colors I have ever seen.

The name is true, you feel peace there. Unfortunately didn't get the chance to go down to the beach but the view is spectacular, one of the best views I've seen.

My wife, her brothers, and I went here on a road trip through northern Spain. It was definitely worth the stop. The views from the trail leading to the beach were incredible, but keep in mind this attraction is probably better for the views than it is for actual beach-going. The beach is fairly rocky, so do not go expecting... More

Magical spot - take the diversion and be amazed. Great views along the Asturian coast and if you are feeling fit take the steep descent to the secluded beautiful beaches.

Tip: don't park in the parking area if you don't like walking. A few hundred meters down the road there is free parking to put your car. Nice view but rocky beach and with shadow until 12:30 approx in the morning.

We left the car at the parking at the cost of 1 euro and walked to the beach. It's about 5 to 10 minutes walk through a country road and at the end it has some stairs to get to the beach. The beach itself is hard to get to and not practical for families with young children or people... More

Described in the Lonely Planet guide book as one of the best beaches in Spain. OK it's a nice rocky bay with wooded hills behind, but surely there are loads of little bays like this along the Spanish coast. I think visitors need to be aware that the 'beach' is a narrow strip of pebbles and that the sea isn't... More

I cannot begin to describe my experience here. My partner and I headed to Playa del Silencio about 8pm, to be able to have some time exploring before settling back up on the hill to watch the sunset. Maybe we were lucky, but we were the only ones on this tranquil beach and we couldnt have been more happy. I... More

I don't know if I have the words to describe this place! It's really amazing! I love it and definitely recommend it to view! The view is wonderful! You have the green surroundings, huge rocks getting out of the blue ocean and white waves break out onto the beach and the rocks. It's really impressive!

One of many gorgeous beaches along this coast but Silencio has been "exploited". This beach was a beach you'd go to & could have a nap & not have people sitting on top of you but suddenly it's the place to be & is chocablock of tourists.
