Made the visit to this temple during my stay at Bhandardhara. Very peaceful surrounding and the drive to this temple is very interesting, as the drive has many types of terrain. The stone carvings are very beautiful and ancient. This is about 15 kms from the lake and one has to pay forest dept toll to reach there. Cater for... More

The temple is around 14 km from the famous Bhandardara Dam in the village Ratangad/Ratanwadi. The temple is stone-carved in Hemadpanthi style of architecture. It's a must visit place in Monsoon. The drive is very scenic in the monsoon with lush greenery. It's not well maintained though and needs restoration from ASI.

In the midst of Kalsubai - Harishchandragad Wildlife Sanctuary, this beautiful temple located at the base of Ratangad, is a stone-carved artefact of Hemadpanthi style of temple architecture. Reaching There: It takes 18 km travel and Rs.100/- per vehicle + Rs. 30/- Per person (Entry fee collected by Wildlife Sanctuary) to reach Ratanwadi where the temple is located. Amazing view... More

Talked to one of the care taker who talked about this temple having a hisyory of 5000 years and built by the pandavas but wikipedia says it to be built in 11th century. Just beneath the temple...
