We visited the Island for a day with many places to see. When we visited Osborne House we spent our total visit here. Highly recommended.

I was excited to visit Osbourne again after maybe 20 years since the last visit. We are EH members - so glad as l would have been annoyed to spend £16 each for entry. I'm sure the entrance has changed to an area not as impressive. There is so little information on the boards in the rooms that at most... More

We'd been to Osborne House many years ago, and this time we dedicated a whole day for our visit and were not disappointed. I liked the way that we were able to walk around the rooms in the house without the restrictions of an organised tour, but all the guides in each room were knowledgeable and informative. We had a... We started our visit by walking down to the beach, passing the beautiful House on our way. Such extensive, well cared for grounds, such beautiful trees! The little beach area is lovely - apart from swarms of flies! We bought a cup of tea and a sandwich and relaxed in deckchairs for a while, enjoying the scenery. Great to see... More

Plenty to do here, although the sites are spread out, it is a massive site. Usual EH hard sell for membership and guide book at the entry. Everything spic and span, and the self guided tour of the house is very interesting.

A fascinating insight into the lives of Queen Victoria and her family. This is more a family home than a palace, where Queen Victoria could escape from the stress of her duties and spend time relaxing with her family. The Swiss cottage with the children's gardens where particularly enlightening.

Fantastic piece of heritage and lovely to see some of the rooms pretty much as they were left, the Swiss cottage area and gardens are also worth a visit!

I am glad I have been because I wanted to see it. First impressions from the outside the house is impressive. The grounds are well kept. The beach area was full of black flies. The cafe on the beach was too small but the tea was excellent. The egg sandwich was was ok, but my partner had a ham salad... More

Not well signposted and you have to walk through the shop and numerous volunteers selling membership to gain admission. We were members so surely there could be a fast track.Pleased were weren't following a coach party. We enjoyed the walk to the Swiss Cottage and beach although chose not to visit the Cafe as the staff were stood outside smoking... More
