Really great place to stay. Little quiet in May which was a nice change from the busy city. Spectacular views and good food Osteria. A separate restaurant in Volpaia (Bottega) was a big disappointment and spoiled a meal....however the Osteria was the best meal we've had in Italy!

This town is worth a detour for many reasons. Firstly, the small gravel roads leading there give absolutely gorgeous views on the hills of Tuscany. Secondly, the town itself is very cute, yet small. It's worth taking a walk even if you will have seen everything after 15 minutes, maybe even less. Lastly, the wine tour and degustation they offer... More

We stayed in Radda and could see Volpaia from our hotel window. It is a cute little town that you can walk around in 10 mins. We visited twice and really enjoyed the feel of the place. The family-run restaurant in the middle of the town gave my toddler a "baby cappuccino" (i.e., frothy milk topped with cocoa powder) on... More

Volpaia is one of the gems of the Chianti region of Tuscany. It is always busy with visitors, especially at lunchtime, and parking is often frustrating. However it is well worth the effort of finding your way there. The open air restaurant in the square has a very good menu at reasonable prices and has good service.

Visited for few hours as a day trip from our hotel in Radda. Charming old town with the specific stone houses and cobbled streets. They make wine right there in Volpaia which you can taste and buy on the spot.

Did not participate for the tour but bought a couple of estate bottles and enjoyed a nice lunch (with wine of course) in the cafe. The place is worth visiting even without wine related intentions.
