Watch our glassblowers creating wonderful african animal figurines and tableware using 100% recycled glass, from an overhead balcony. Feel the heat of the furnace and understand why we say we are the HOTTEST attraction in Swaziland. Our well stock showroom is attached to the factory and there is a coffee shop offering light meals. Beer and wine also available. In our well established gardens there is an array of well stocked craft shops selling Swazi Fair Trade products, all produced within Swaziland. Central in the garden is a jungle gym for the young ones to enjoy whilst the adults shop.

We enjoyed watching the glassware being made and following the various stages of manufacture from the overhead gallery walkway. The produce from the factory available in the shop was of many interesting and fascinating designs. Well worth a visit.

This was one of the places on our bucket-list for the weekend trip, however, it seemed like just another African marketplace, but with less shops than at most places we've seen. We really wanted to see the glass blowing - but they already logged off early on a Friday and don't blow glass over weekends. I would think that with... More

We are very sorry that you arrived after we had stopped working on Friday. Our blowers knock off at 4pm on Fridays, except payday Friday when we give them time to get into town to do their shopping and stop at 3pm. We sometimes do blow on a Saturday, but generally not. Glassblowing is very hard and hot work, and... More

December 2016 we visited the Ngwenya Glass Factory. We experienced all the small shops with Africa goodies all around. At the factory we witnessed the famous glass blowing in the heated factory. this is a must for collectors and Fashion fundies.

It is wonderful to watch the artists at work. Glad to see that the showroom has expanded - so many irresistible items of exquisite handblown glass artwork. The complex as a whole is also interesting to visit - offering many high quality shopping opportunities.

If you are looking at buying something special made from glass, then Ngwenya Glass is the place to go. Amazing artwork there. Glasses carved into different objects / animals.

Have some Ngwenya glass as a gift so needed to visit in person. As usual, bought more than intended but v nice craftmanship so worthwhile. Its a must stop. Cafe also great and well worth a stop just for this - friendly efficient staff. Check out the other boutique shops.

We have visited this place a long time ago and wanted to add at least another elephant to our collections which we did. But as always we could not be stopped from buying more. We were lucky we cannot take too much with us in our suitcases, otherwise we had probably bought more of the ever-increasing collection of well shaped... More

Thank you for your very positive review and your support, we really appreciate it. The other shops you mention are mainly other Swazi Fair Trade handcraft producers and their products are not readily available elsewhere, but you will also find some products in some of the shops that are. Many visitors have a short period of time to visit us,... More

My little glass elephant bottle stopper was lovingly wrapped and made it home safely. A great reminder of a great country. Interesting to watch the glass being blown from the walkway accessed from the cafe. Other shops too and things to explore in the grounds.

Have been here a couple of times, it's a must stop on any visit to Swaziland. Since their products are decorative as well as functional, our glass cabinet is now full of Ngwenya items: glasses for beer, cocktails, long drinks, shots, and whisky. In addition to browsing the store, it's also very fascinating watching the craftmanship of the glassblowers from... More

Of course you have to because it's on your way out and there is ostensibly nothing much else. It's a good example of something from trash and a highly successful self help project. We liked it.!
