The Lakes Golf Club at Ben Eoin offers dramatic elevation changes and spectacular views of the beautiful Bras d’Or Lakes. Conveniently located just 15 minutes west of Sydney on Route 4, The Lakes offers remarkable vistas combined with the latest technology in golf course construction. “The Lakes presents the golfer with eighteen distinct postcard views. Each hole has its own special look. Consequently, the golfer will play with an expectation of what lies ahead or around the next bend. This diversity is a product of both the design and the setting: rock outcrops, long mystical views, crashing streams, grassy meadows and charming golf holes all combine to make golf at The Lakes both exciting and rewarding,” explains course architect Graham Cooke.

An absolutely beautiful and challenging course. Liked it so much, returned the next day. A tad slow, but the views compensated for the times we had to wait.

I had read several places about bad conditions at this course, but it was great when we were there in early August. I used just about every club in my bag. None of the holes repeated another. There were many challenges throughout the course, but...More

Could be a great golf venue but poorly maintained. The course has multiple elevation changes which increases the challenge. Views are magnificent. Course is poorly maintained and could be a premier track. No marshal and there is a divot issue!

The Lakes was the first stop on our Cape Breton Golf Tour. It was a good stop and the holes were varied and interesting. There were lots of elevation changes and the greens were in fair to good shape.

Amazing layout for players of all levels. Five star course with some of the nicest views you've ever seen on a golf course. Must play for anyone who loves golf.
