Turns out outdoor trout fishing is harder than it looks...but you will have guaranteed success at the indoor pool

Tried my hand at outdoor trout fishing but to no avail. But that's ok - they also have an indoor pool stocked with 1700 trout and you're guaranteed a catch! So I snagged a few... read more

We had a great time. Fished the outside lake and saw plenty of trout jumping from the water. Kids caught 4 in the space of an hour. Staff on hand to help with the catch. The best bit for mum was I didn't have to gut or cook them. 😋

Visited with my two young girls, and received poor customer service. Very disappointed that I couldn't receive my RACV discount, because "it had been put through the til already", and they couldn't reverse it? tho I paid cash, it was a til from the 1980s, and I was not prompted by staff if I had a membership. Quite disingenuous. Then... More

Hi There Disingenuous, Very disappointed to see your review. As you can imagine, we have many discounts in the market place, RACV, Visit Victoria, Phillip Island Experience, just to name a few. Asking every customer if they have a discount is simply not viable for any business, and in most cases does more harm than good. I am not sure... More

Tried my hand at outdoor trout fishing but to no avail. But that's ok - they also have an indoor pool stocked with 1700 trout and you're guaranteed a catch! So I snagged a few, The helpful staff cleaned and gutted my catch for me, which I took home and BBQ'd - delicious! Had a fun day. Thanks, Jason -... More

Went to visit on our trip to visit Phillip island and found it to be an enjoyable little visit. We were attended to by a number of young staff (16-22 type age) and found all to be friendly and helpful. The fish were a little hard to catch outside, but the indoor pool wasn't an issue! A bit of fun... More

This trout farm is VERY busy all day. We arrived and served by wonderful friendly staff. We were provided with fishing rods and bait and directed where to start. We spent a short amount of time at the outside pond. No one outside had caught anything. We were told by staff that there was 300-500 trout in the pond, but... More

kids had a ball trying to catch fish, my 10 year old daughter caught 2. Boys 5 and 8 helped me catch one and loved finishing off the fish with the club. We ate all we caught for lunch

We didn't catch much fish in the outdoor lake but we did in the indoor one. There were 7 of us, 4 adults and 3 kids so it was a lot to pay to get in because everybody has to pay whether you fish or not. However, the kids had fun. Once you have caught your fish then the restaurant... More

Hi MACIMI, Thanks for your review and we are so glad your kids had fun and you enjoyed a meal with us. Some Clarification: -Customers most definitely may take their fish home with them, as is without us touching them. We also offer the options to clean the fish for you or clean and prepare it with one of our... More

A little disappointed with fishing in the lake. Not one single person had a bite with their fishing lines, very disheartening for the children. Stayed and tried for over an hour. Would like to have been told that this was likely to happen. At least they did get a fish from the undercover area, though not the same.

Contrasting this with another tourist attraction I visited earlier was like day and night. From the outside the place doesn't look much but from the enthusiastic welcome through to the whole experience it was a total joy. I only went on the bush tucker trail which is a hard path suitable for wheelchairs and prams etc. There are a number... More

Very friendly and helpful staff. We couldn't catch any in the outside lake but managed to catch one each in minutes in the outside pool. Staff were on hand to help us. We had our fish cleaned, ready for to cook for tea. Overall, it was a fun experience!
