The place, in ruins after WW2, has been fully and perhaps over-perfectly restored. The decor is bland and uninteresting in itself, although clearly the palace is an excellent place for entertaining foreign politicians, with grand meeting rooms galore. While it contains a few art works it could do with far more; security is tight, so the blank walls could surely... More

Not far from St. Petersburg. Can easily be reached by bus or tram to Strelna. Palace and park situated close to the road. Palace recently restored. Perhaps best known for hosting G8 meeting for country leaders. President Bush and president Putin participated. Small houses on the estate can be rented. Luxurious hotel on the premises. This palace is less crowded... More

This is a palace that will not dissapoint those that like this style of museum attraction. A really beautiful place to visit and what a great history. It oozes sofistication and beauty, well worth the visit.

This palace is approx. 20 miles outside of St. Petersburg; it is beautiful and right next door to the hotel I stayed in (Baltic Star Hotel, which is also gorgeous).

This palace was recently restored and is used as Putins residence when he is in the area. World leaders meet here for summits and talks. The top observation cupola has been transformed into a replica ships interior and is extraordinary. You visit a good many rooms with a lot of recent history attached.

First of all, it is completelly restored palace. We were here many years ago, and saw absolute devastation. Now it is a State House, for summits (with security). And for us - excursions you should book in advance. better on the web-site. You can choose one of the excursions (groups for 15 persons). During spring-summer there are guided tours in... More

It was a semi-ruined palace until it was decided to remodel it into this fancy palace of congresses. Like often in Russia, things had to be started fast, at the expense of historical restoration. Just a few rooms have been restored to what they looked like before revolution. The rest is "nice and clean". The park is boring. Move further... More

Although the Palace lays outside of the city, it is easy accessible via bus & tram. The 404 bus will pick you up inside the city and have you at the entrance in no more then 30 minutes. Trams will also connect you with the city and Metro stops. The grounds are vast and extensive but the tour is for... More
