Best beer ever
Jan. 2020
OMG, believe me, I am, let’s say, a ‘connoisseur ‘ of beer, having spent the last 48 years drinking everything from Banks’s mild to Jaipur. Until now, my #1 beer of all time was the 3 Tuns XXX from Bishops Castle until stumbling across the Broughton brewery on a business trip to Scotland earlier this year. Initially, I purchased a selection of lighter IPA’s and quickly realised that the 6.2% IPA was the dogs bol**cks. I went on to order a further case of 12 bottles on line and am about to order a further consignment.
CAMRA, please take this review seriously and rate this beer and brewery for what it is, i,e, one the best, if not, THE best micro breweries around. I am truly hooked !!!

Been on a few brewey tours in my time but this was the best by a country mile. Very personal tour, very friendly and extremely knowledgeable staff. Hats off to Cheryl, Maz, Ian and David. All hugely enthusiastic and passionate about what they do which shines through. Hugely enjoyable experience. Keep up the amazing work guys. A business worthy of everyone's support. Another visit can't come too soon !

Fun Brewery Visit & Tour
Nov. 2014 • Friends
I was on a lovely drive through the Scottish Borders and came across a brewery called Broughton Ales which is located in the village of Broughton. We went inside the vintage barn brewery and there's a wee visitor shop to buy bottled beers, see the original bottled ales from the 80s, 90s and see the history of the brewery. The staff was very nice and welcoming to us. They had several offers on beer which is always a great thing! I think we got 12 beers for £16.00!

While we were viewing the beer stuff in the shop, we were fortunate that someone was willing to give us a quick tour of the brewery and show us the brewing process. It was really interesting and amazing to see a traditional brewery and listen to their brewery methods. Absolutely great and I would definitely call back to book an official tour!
