Similar to other reviews, the best part was the location! We stayed north of Cancun and stopped on our way to the ferry. The price of admission is reasonable ($50 pesos). The guide at the front is super friendly and taught us a few Mayan...More

For $3.00 we saw Mayan ruins and didn't have to fight tourists or drive forever to get there. The buildings that were there were in good condition and had descriptive signs about the people that lived there and what the buildings were used for.

Impressive ruins that are near the hotel zone. We don't speak Spanish. To go, we hired a $10 cab, but to return we rode a $1 bus. The ruins are small in area, but they are real 2000 year old Mayan history. Nothing as large...More

Walking down the street we happened upon this archaeological site off the beaten path. For less than 3 USD each, we toured the ruins of a community built in 300 AD. There was no one else there. A hidden treasure.

I just checked the distance and it's not. I'd recommend taking the white or blue vans that run up and down the straight street, as they would only charge 7 pesos and the taxis overcharge when you don't get them through your... More
