A must stop on your travels along Highway No. 1. Be careful pulling over because plenty of other people are doing the same thing. Nonetheless, it worth some time to study this architectural wonder. How in heavens name was it built so many years ago?

Very beautiful bridge, great photo location. From the north you have a spot where you easily can stop with your car. You also have another stop from the south, a bit further away.

It is always a beautiful sight to see the Bixby Bridge when traveling from Carmel to Big Sur, even when the fog comes in.

We stopped by the bridge and were glad we did. The bridge itself is impressive but the scenery is just spectacular. The whole area of Big Sur is a must see.

Need to approach from the north, but it's not a very long drive from Carmel by the Sea and it's a pretty drive with lots of pull outs
