Stop on the North side of the bridge to get your iconic photos. This is a spectacular old bridge from the 1930's. Be ready to search for a parking spot, this is a tourist destination.

We drove to this part of the highway just to see this bridge. It is a beautiful bridge. The scenery is lovely and the engineering amazing. We stopped at the view point on the North side and were able to get many pictures.

Check out this bridge if you are driving through Big Sur. There are viewpoints both before and after the bridge. Stop at both!

This was a 'must stop' point, traveling down Highway One, particularly as the Pfeiffer Canyon bridge was inaccessible due to rock slides.

just check the caltrain website for Highway 1 closure before you start.. based on the reports in local media, some portion will remain closed for few months because of damage to bridge.. so definitely you can not do... More
