It is one of California's Must See places. Plenty of parking, but for the best picture, you must be careful not to slip over the side. It is real.

While driving down CA-1 S, you come to the Bixby Bridge. It's a very impressive structure dating from 1932. Is you travel south, there is a turnout just before the bridge to allow for photographs.

If you're anywhere near Monterey or Carmel, do yourself a favor and take the 30 min drive down HWY 1 to the Bixby Bridge. It's exceptionally beautiful! Worth the stop - even if there is a crowd.

Had always wanted to see this bridge and the stunning countryside it sits in. We had a clear sunny day and spent an hour or so walking around admiring the view and the bridge. Ahead of its time, in its day!!!
