Wonderful tour of the lighthouse and keepers' houses, beautiful views. All restored thanks to the hard work of the all volunteer restorers. Hats off to our volunteer guides Tom and Charlie - a wealth of info!

The sights were absolutely beautiful and definitely ones that will make you want to go back. I am from Florida and was amazed at the beauty we saw on the Pacific Coast at Point Sur. Definitely a must see.

Limited tours and small groups make this a tricky place to visit. However, if you can arrive early before they open the gate, you're in for a treat. Be prepared for long, up-hill hikes, high winds, and limited access to bathrooms and water.

Camp here if you have no other options. Pickings can be slim in this area. The campsites are close together and windy. There is no access to the beach or hiking trails. Once you are here there is really no where to go.

We took the Sunday lighthouse tour on a sunny windy day. Our volunteer guide was excellent. She took her time telling us about the plants and geology as we made our way up the hill toward the lighthouse, on the sheltered leeward side. The views...More
