Nice place to stop for a great view. Also they have a small store for drinks, etc. Gas pumps if needed. They have a restaurant with outdoor seating wonderful view but they weren't open yet when I went thru. It's a nice place to stop for a quick look, and walk around before heading up hwy 101 big sur.

This is a great place to stop and get some scenic views up and down the coast line. Coming from south Highway 1 begins to climb hill side so you have elevated views in both directions as well as view of local waterfall. Only few miles north of Hearst Castle.

This is a good stopping place for a bathroom break on the way to Big Sur. Just don't expect it to be more than that. Bathrooms are clean. The gas is expensive, but it is only one of two options between Ragged Point and Big Sur. The other spot is very small and not sure about the hours or availability.... More

My family and I decided to drive up from LA to San Francisco and find a place to stay for the night on the way up. We ended up staying at ragged point and found it to be such a great moment. The room was nice with a fire place and a gorgeous view on the cliff. Believe it or... More

Great stop right in the middle of Big Sur. Comfortable rooms and dining was great. Kids love the wood look.

I booked this hotel on a whim for one night during our whirlwind California vacation. I wasn't 100% sure when I booked it if it was nice or not but thought we'd give it a try since it was a convenient stop on our itinerary. It ended up blowing us away! Amazing views, comfortable room, and such nice staff. We... More

A real nice place to stop for a snack and use the facilities. The sandwich we had didn't blow us away but the little touches such as the flowers and the little walk towards the cliff edge did. Keep your eyes peeled for cute little lizards, butterflies and humming birds!!

Lovely location for a short vacation, nice trails around property and an ice cream truck to boot. Rainy day, but still lovely.

The room was beautiful with an ocean view, great fireplace, outdoor seating to listen to the waves crash below you... so serene! We had a breakfast, lunch and dinner while we were there and all the food was superb! The salmon was extra fresh and paired with just the right sides... a must have! My husband loved the clam chowder,... More

We stopped at Ragged Point on our way down the PCH. It's the last elevated point of Big Sur, so it's worth a stop. On the site, there is a restaurant, a coffee shop, souvenir shop and a hotel, plus plenty of free parking and public washrooms. Unless you're eating here or going down to the beach, it's only about... More
