Truly an outstanding experience. We booked both a hiking excurstion and kayaking experiene with Tamarack and both were wonderful! We had a great guide, Kyle, for our hike. He was very knowledgable about the area and was very friendly. He was especially kind to our ten year old son as they enjoyed skipping rocks together and feeling the cold waters of the waterfall. Our kayaking guide, Carey, was fantastic, he helped us navigate the waters and kept us great company while out on the lake! I would highly recommend booking with Tamarack as they provide a very personalized experience, they communicated with me a ton before booking and helped us find the right experience for our family. We would absolutely book with Tamarack again!

We booked the Carthew-Alderson hike with Tamarack on 6/24/24. Carey Tetzlaff happened to be sitting near us on the shuttle and we asked him a few questions on the ride out to Cameron lake (where the 11-12 mile hike started). We had no idea he was one of the family members who own and run the business. His mother in law drove the shuttle and was as informative and friendly as can be. Carey was going solo to scout out trail conditions for a future excursion. As luck would have it he joined us for the entire hike/adventure and we couldn't have been happier. This is one of the most beautiful hikes we've ever done. His knowledge of the area is incredible and he had answers to my many questions regarding wildlife, flora, fauna etc. We really lucked out. Thanks again Carey. We'll be back in the future and we'll look you and Tamarack up again. Don't forget to come visit us in St Croix, USVI!!!

Tamarack organised for us to go out hiking with a guide for two days during our stay in Waterton. Our guide, Kyle, was great - very calm, patient and knowledgable about the area, hikes, flora and fauna. Tamarack provided breakfast, lunch and transport around the park and we certainly did more and better hiking with a guide than we would have done on our own, especially given my nervousness about bear encounters. A very good experience, we highly recommend.

My husband and I purchased shuttle tickets on August 27th to take the shuttle to Cameron Lake ( we were hiking the Carthew/Alderson trail). Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to do the hike due to a lower back problem. We were given the option of taking the shuttle the next day. Unfortunately, I was still out of commission! We requested a refund and were denied that. A refund would have been very appreciated. It would be great if you could generate a waiting list. A win win for everyone; a refund for someone who couldn’t make it through no fault of their own, 2 seats for people on the waiting list, and no empty seats on the bus. We are out $47.00 for seats that could have easily been filled.

We had an amazing wildflower hike to Crandell Lake with Carey Tetzlaff, one of the principals of Tamarack Adventures. What a gorgeous day: the wildflowers were a bonus, the hike up to Crandell Lake was fantastic. Carey is native to the area and is a very experienced guide with a wealth of knowledge about Waterton; its many hikes and trails; the fauna, and the wildlife. Highly recommend Carey and Tamarack, what a lovely family business.

The shuttle to the trailhead was on time, very informative/educational and the shuttle could not have been cleaner. The hike is wonderful with many amazing views/pictures! Please bring hiking poles especially for the extremely steep downhill sections.

Shuttle was on time, driver was super knowledgeable and friendly. All the staff at the tamarack are very friendly. Was raining and they were very flexible and were allowing us to change our dates but she assured us she’d been following the weather and the carthew trail would be fine if we chose to continue on in the rain. Glad we did, the cool weather was a blessing after the heat.

Took the hiker’s shuttle to Cameron Lake to start the Carthew-Alderson hike. Our driver was very friendly and informative. She obviously is passionate about Waterton Park and was very enthusiastic talking about it. Highly recommend the shuttle

Booked a guided tour with the company. Initially the hike was Carthew Alderson trail. Unfortunately, we are in the midst of a heat wave, and they suggested a cooler/less exposed hike. We ended up going on the Upper Rowe Lake hike, which was fantastic. Our guide Kurt was great, and a secondary guide/photographyer Lizzy accompanied us. We felt very secure in their hands. Great shuttle service from town to trailhead and back. Would definitely go with this company in our next adventure. (Oh, their prepared hikers lunch was very tasty).

We had a picture perfect day kayaking on Lake Waterton thanks to Tamarack Adventures. We caught the weather just right in late June. Absolutely worth doing if you get the chance. Our professional, friendly, and informative guide, Carey, made it a great trip! Thank you Carey!
