Really surprised by this place. The chateau is bijou by comparison to one's in the Loire, but the miniature museum is really interesting and the marionettes in the rooms are fun. The garden was the real treat, the water features surprise you as you never know what is go to spring to life as you wander passed. Don be surprised... More

We visited this fabulous chateau on a rainy day in October. My partner is a French antiques dealer and he was impressed with the minatures collection which is one of the biggest collections in Europe. The gardens are stunning and compliment the chateau. In an age when a lot of the chateaux are being sold off due to the high... More

The gardens are wonderfull, the castle itself is nothing special, it´s very small and a ticket is way too expensive for what you get. The staff in the castle refused to speak English and they weren´t friendlly at all. And why on earth do they keep a rabbit in very poor conditions in the garden? This is animal neglect. The... More

This is a lovely Chateau set in delightful grounds. It has a large collection of miniatures including furniture, ceramics, silver and bronze. It also has a variety of cat and dog kennels.Admission to the house and kitchen is restricted to specific times and in the house you can only visit the ground floor but it is full of interesting objects. You are allowed to... This is an impressive Chateau when you first see it First we went to look at the miniature exhibition. This is amazing with the most remarkable exhibits of furniture and other minute items. There were so many to see over 800 and truly amazing. Then we went into the house. there is only one floor to see but there are a... More

We visited this chateau in August 2016. Because the family lives here, we were only allowed to see the ground floor, which takes about 10-15 minutes to walk around. They have displayed some cute stuff in my opinion but my husband was not really amused with the collection of 'rubbish'. The old kitchen is okay, but nothing special. The whole... More

This run down chateau is really a waste of time and money. We visited it because it was on our way to Falaise and it had some nice reviews. Sorry to say they are probably false. The chateau and gardens are in bad shape and you are only able to visit a few rooms in the chateau. The collection seems... More

Beautiful chateau and furniture. Cute gift shop. But the best was the gardens, flowers and the surprise water features

Overall we enjoyed the visit. The receptionist was very friendly, explaining that the chateau rooms and kitchens closed for a short period over lunchtime (only for 60 and 30 minutes). The other staff were perhaps a little protective of their jobs, but were very helpful in explaining things when we asked. The items of furniture in the chateau rooms and the... More

The chateau itself is sort of OK but is not well-presented - eg all the electric faux-candles are wonky in their stands, as if someone doesn't really care. The grounds are simply second-rate and are not well-cared for. The lawns are mowed but have weeds in them. Topiary hedges out the back were last trimmed ages ago and are overgrown... More
