Overview
More
A beautiful 20th-century masterpiece featuring colourful borders, a landscape garden and a collection of follies Woolbeding is a modern garden of two halves, with the colour-themed garden rooms surrounding the house, plus a landscape garden. A gentle stroll over the open pasture land provides views of the River Rother and leads to the ruined abbey and on to the Chinese-style bridge and waterfall. Please note that all visits to the gardens must be pre-booked and can be pre-booked online or by telephone.

This is a charming property. We would grade the lovely gardens, maybe a dozen large "rooms", each different, as well as larger parklike areas, to be a 'B' garden for us. A B garden is one worth visiting but we would not return unless in...More

Woolbeding is an absolute gem and well worth seeking out on one of its limited open days. We walked here from Stedham, along the river, although I believe most people catch the NT minibus from Midhurst. The gardens are stunning, full of interesting plants, beautifully...More

Excellent afternoon spent walking round delightful gardens. You have to arrive by Minibus laid on by National Trust from Midhurst, this was very easy with friendly driver.

A definite must see for those who like gardens. A hidden gem. Interesting introduction when we arrived so it was nice to have an understanding of how and why parts of the garden were created.
