The Vigo estuary is one of the best nautical destinations in the world and the Atlantic Islands National Park is the best valued park in all of Spain. The beach of Rhodes in the archipelago of the Cies Islands has been awarded as the best beach in the world. It is a true natural paradise within an hour of sailing

I'm 48 and this was the worst holidays ever!!! With the covid lockdown measures, even in the beach you have to ridiculous wear mask. Fortunately i didn't felt like violating the Spanish law because 99% of the people didn't wear it too.

My wife and I have visited Vigo on a number of occasions and finally managed to visit the Cies Islands this summer and we are glad we did. The boat trip there is fantastic but when you reach the islands you are in for an even bigger treat. Lovely beaches, great walks and views from the cliff tops and also feeling very close to nature and the power of the sea as the Atlantic Ocean crashes into the islands on the west coast. Our only mistake was that we did book a later ferry for our return journey and we would have liked to stay longer and explore the islands further.

I really enjoyed Cíes. Nice trails with amazing view points. Even in higher season I didn’t feel it was packed af all and I could have my own relaxed space/area.

It's a beautiful place and the weather is pretty nice. I arrived there in one of the first boats and left in one of the lasts this allowed me to visit all the different island landmarks and have some extra time to enjoy the beach in the end. Food is a bit expensive so I would recommend taking something to eat for a day trip and a bottle of water (There are pkaces where you can fill it up if you finish it, and trust me you will). I would say the walking is rough and some tracks have no shade so do keep that in mind but all in all every step is worth it.

Found ourselves with an afternoon to kill in Vigo and chose to do something that turned out to be the highlight of our trip. The 45 min ferry to Islas Cies is worth every cent. Beautiful islands.Spend a day taking in fantastic coastal views from various hiking trails.
