The view form the observation point is simply breathtaking. There are some sad statistics about this place.. Nevertheless, the place is stunning and it is definitely worth walking a few minutes to the other observation point that is much lower and seems to be far from the first one, but it is a nice walk and you can see the... A great spot for having a look around and down the Punkva caves. Could be combined with visiting the Punkva cave and a small tavern Chata Macocha. You can go up there by funicular or to have a nice stroll enjoing the nature around.

We have been here several times. It is a great day trip or just spend a few hours. Very interesting geology as well as a nice cave to walk through. They bring you out on boats. Fun

This is a one of a natural wonder in Czech republic which definitelly worth to see! Awesome to see the Macocha from it´s bottom (much better then from up - you can see the depth), accesible from Punkva cave.

These limestone caves an formations are beautiful, and should not be missed. The location is very green and is a pleasure to behold. Reservations are recommended in high season.

Short train journey from Brno followed by bus or taxi. The caves and the abyss are fantastic to see. The guided commentary was not in English. Probably a good idea to make a reservation before hand - this can be done by email.

Decided to go to Punkva Cave on a Saturday, June 11. Did not have reservations. Took 25 minutes to drive from Brno to ticket office which is located at Skalni Mlyn (near Blansko) next to Skalni Mlyn hotel. Easy to find on GPS. Parking was 50 koruna, about 2 USD. Arrived at Skalni Mlyn around 9:10 am and purchased tickets.... More
