Stopped in to see Stonethrow Pottery while RVing. Fabulous pottery. Bought a mug (without a handle). It is my favourite mug and the only mug that I use! Love the warm feeling when I hold the mug. Also bought a little wine glass and it's great for walking around campgrounds sipping on wine! Should have bought more pottery when I was there. We definitely stop again.

My partner and I had just moved into the area and we were having a relaxing day and decided to stop in to Stonethrow Pottery as it had been several years since we visited. Although it is a bit off the beaten track people do seem to think it is worth the drive, a group were just leaving when we arrived, and another group arrived just as we were leaving. Liliane and Bas are both very friendly and welcoming and it is clear that they take a lot of pride in what they do. They have a very nice selection of fine pieces of pottery at what I felt was a fair price. Although we didn't buy anything on the day we visited, several of their pieces are in our home and enjoyed on an almost daily basis.
If you are in the area Stonethrow Pottery is well worth taking the time to visit.

On our way home from Huntsville we detoured to stop in and see for ourselves the beautifful pottery we had heard about from friends. An extra bonus was knowing that Bos was a formwr student of my husband from his high school days. Beautiful, hand crafted pottery and jewellery, located in a charming location with beautiful views and a lively warm conversation. A most worthwhile stop indeed. Purchases in hand we promise to return again in the fall.

Stonethrow Pottery is an awesome place to purchase pottery. They have such a huge selection so be prepared to spend a lot of time in the shop. So many pieces to look at, so it's not easy to make a decision.
You can tell by the pieces and how the owners speak about their work that they are passionate about pottery. They are so inviting and refreshing to talk to and have such a beautiful spot on the hill overlooking Commanda Lake. They even invite you to take pictures.
We were there in September and purchased items for ourselves as well as Christmas gifts for members of our family. Can't wait to see their faces when they open them - we are sure they will love them as much as we do.
Thanks Bas and Liliane for the great visit and for loving what you do!!

Popped in here with hubby - saw the signs from the road and thought it might be worth a visit..
They have lovely pottery made on the premises, and I found a gorgeous little 'salt pig' for our kitchen.. I've been looking for one for a while now but wanted one that was a little different to the usual ones I see in England and this one is perfect..

Not as many things here as the pottery down the road (Rockcliffe) but in its own way just as nice :)
I would say it was worth the visit..

We found this wonderful little shop on a cloudy morning while exploring in the Port Loring area. We had first gone to visit Rockcliffe Pottery, where we felt we were intruding on a long lost friends visit. Then we found STONETHROW POTTERY. As we drove up the laneway we were lucky to see two deer looking right at us about 12 feet from the lane. What a beautiful site. The shop is awesome with beautiful pottery and jewellery, handmade by the owners. The shopkeeper was very friendly and gave us a little tour of where they make the pottery. We purchased a beautiful pottery clock they call "Time Flies" with butterflies flying off the corner of the clock. The view from this shop is spectacular ...it is truly worth the drive!!! Can't wait to continue to add to our collection as we visit yearly and online!

We try to stop here each year when we visit Restoule. This year the hours didn't work out for us - I think they were only open Friday/Sat/Sun and we tried on Thursday but that was mid June and many places had not changed to Summer hours yet. We have several pieces of pottery and have given goblets to others as gifts.

Sorry we missed you when you visited! We are open weekends and weekdays by chance in the spring. We do live on the property and try to be available most days. We must have been in the garden.... Next time just call us 1 888 471 1774 and let us know when your coming and we will open for you! Thank you for your comments. Lil & Bas
