Another friendly visit on Thansgiving Monday just to see what was new. Lilian and Bas have built a lovely business and life on the hill. Learn

Learned about their wedding registry.

Great selection of unique pottery ware and jewellery. The artists are in the store and eager to share their craft with you. Great selection of tableware and a variety of hand crafted pottery. Reasonable prices and welcoming atmosphere.

The best Pottery Shop in Commanda
Aug. 2015
We found this wonderful little shop on a cloudy morning while exploring in the Port Loring area. We had first gone to visit Rockcliffe Pottery, where we felt we were intruding on a long lost friends visit. Then we found STONETHROW POTTERY. As we drove up the laneway we were lucky to see two deer looking right at us about 12 feet from the lane. What a beautiful site. The shop is awesome with beautiful pottery and jewellery, handmade by the owners. The shopkeeper was very friendly and gave us a little tour of where they make the pottery. We purchased a beautiful pottery clock they call "Time Flies" with butterflies flying off the corner of the clock. The view from this shop is spectacular ...it is truly worth the drive!!! Can't wait to continue to add to our collection as we visit yearly and online!

Worth a stop
Jun. 2015 • Family
We try to stop here each year when we visit Restoule. This year the hours didn't work out for us - I think they were only open Friday/Sat/Sun and we tried on Thursday but that was mid June and many places had not changed to Summer hours yet. We have several pieces of pottery and have given goblets to others as gifts.

Sorry we missed you when you visited! We are open weekends and weekdays by chance in the spring. We do live on the property and try to be available most days. We must have been in the garden.... Next time just call us 1 888 471 1774 and let us know when your coming and we will open for you! Thank you for your comments. Lil & Bas

Decorative and Functional

Wait until their thanksgiving day sale and stock up on some lovely hand made pottery. Their tea pots are excellent, large, with a pouring spout that does not dribble tea all over the table. Beautiful setting.

Discover Stonethrow Pottery
Nov. 2013 • Couples
I had the great opportunity to discover the Stonethrow Pottery in Loring-Restoule in early summer 2013. They make great functional pottery that just doesn't look pretty but it also is amazing to cook in. Bought a piece and had to buy more later. Well worth the trip to their studio for the best prices and also to discover what goes into making it. The view alone is well worth the trip.
Stonethrow Pottery is more than a pottery place it's an experience where you will learn all about making pottery from the owners Bas & Liliane themselves. They are super friendly and more than willing to take a little time out of their day to share the experience of mating quality pottery with you.
