I found out today, May 7, 2021, that new owner(s) of these trails have closed them to the public. I was greeted with signs stating: NO TRESPASSING, KEEP OUT AND PRIVATE PROPERTY.
I contacted the Manitoulin Expositor and they confirmed this.
More of Manitoulin is being marketed for residential and commercial development and I believe that these trails are yet another attraction removed by such developers.
So don't travel to Manitoulin unless you have verified everything you want to explore or visit is actually open to the public.

This trail was a little hard to find. Not quite where the map showed it. About a km North on the west side of Hwy 6. Well worth the effort.

Attention: Hidden Gem alert! Highly recommend this short trail with vast and beautiful granite outcroppings with gorgeous lake views. Interesting short loop with big payoff. Our 10 year old dog climbed easily. This hike gives a great experience of the Canadian Shield with minimal effort. Great for people who-for various reasons- are looking for a short rewarding hike. Hard to find; navigation in vehicle or phone didn’t locate. On Highway 6 across from a motel. We got directions from a very nice lady @ a Cottage rental office. Thank you so much!!
