Don’t miss this spectacular sandy beach. Plan to be there for the jaw- dropping sunset. The boardwalk is lovely. There is a big playground for kids- big and little. Flush toilets and change rooms are available, even during covid. The biggest kept secret is the fantastic little shop at the waterfront- Huron Island Time. It’s equipped with treats, art, Gifts and beach necessities you might have forgotten. The ice cream is delicious but the surprise was the fantastic, home cooked Jamaican food. At this time of year, there are not any restaurants open in Providence Bay, but the beach shop will be open as long as the ferry is open. Call ahead to reserve your meal.

Long shoreline with clean sandy beach and shallow water makes it ideal for families. There is a boardwalk and playground. Great place to spend a day lazing around. There are restaurants nearby for take out if required and ample parking along roadside for the stretch of the beach. A must see on Manitoulin.

Long sandy shoreline, not marred by private property fences, excellent boardwalk, washrooms and change facilities, great onshore take out restaurant, this beach reminded us of PEI.

Fabulous beach and board walk -- The swings on the beach are absolutely fantastic. They are like a magnet and draw you in no matter what your age. :))) I loved it !!
I felt like I was swinging over the lake the higher I got -- Very exhilarating -- It was very windy the day we were there so the the Lake was rough and the sound crashing into the beach just amazing. Be a kid again -- Just enjoy :))

Lovely area, great history, beautiful sandy beach with a children's playground and adult exercise area. Great boardwalk. Good access to all areas of the Island.

A nice sandy beach with a boardwalk and playground for kids. The sand is really nice and after a little drop off (which is probably because of the high water this year) it's pretty shallow and you can go out quite a ways. There's a little restaurant with ice cream there along with washrooms. Not a ton of parking so I'm sure it could get pretty jammed on a hot summer day. Definitely a spot to spend an afternoon or a day if you're on the Island. And the really good fish and chips place is one street away from the beach. Lots of people had lunch from there on the beach.

I'd place this beach as number one attraction.
It has a boardwalk that is nice to do, as it will allow you to see most of the beach. It is well maintained.
The beach is amazing...sandy and the water is not that cold.
Good for kids, teenagers, everybody.
Easy access...good parking...clean bathrooms.
The convenience store inside the information place is not good...but has ice cream.
There is a wooden bridge where kids were jumping from into the water...I'm not sure if that was allowed, but everybody was having a lot of fun!

Too bad we visited on a rainy day. The beach is beautiful and long, and even on a rainy day it was nice to see the pebbles and the sand, the water, we walked through the passerelle that goes along the beach (and got soaking wet). The place was deserted when we visited but I can imagine there would be people on a sunny day. Still far from being crowded. perhaps the best spot on Manitoulin island.
