Ojców at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries was a well-known spa and summer resort. The chapel St. Józefa Rzemieślnika (Robotnika) also know chapel on the water is dedicated to St Joseph (Rzemieślnika means craftsman, Robotnika worker), It was built in 1901 on the Prądnik stream from reconstructed thermal baths
Local legend related to the chapel says that Tsar Nicholas II issued a decree banning the erection of sacred objects on his father's land, the Tsarist ban on building sacred buildings in this area was circumvented, by erecting the building "on the water". The cross-plan structure, wooded with light planks, is supported by stakes embedded at the bottom of the stream. The roof of the chapel is adorned with a slender openwork turret surmounted by a cross. In the modest and bright interior, there are 3 altars in the form of peasant houses. In the main altar there is a symbolic sun, 5 saints and an image of Our Lady of Help, painted in 1901 1. The chapel is in the style of the so-called Swiss paternal. Elements of Alpine architecture are visible in the openwork turret-turret. The interior, meanwhile, refers to the Zakopane style, fashionable at the beginning of the 20th century. The chapel, entered in the register of monuments in 1995, is still open, although it is closed daily. Offices are still held there on Sundays and public holidays at 8:00 am, 10:00 am, 4:00 pm, and it is open to the public between services. Possibility to park along the road (free) and go to the park by walking.

Best accessed from the car park at Ojcow Castle (Casimir ruins) 400 metres away is this lovely small chapel. It was a small wooden structure built on a stone archway over the river and with a lovely mountain backdrop. It was quite pretty but we could not go inside because they had a service going. A unique structure and setting.

The chapel is really lovely, in beautiful natural surrounding. You can see the interior as well but unfortuantely you cannot enter it. Still, I believe it is worth stopping here for a couple of minutes as it is next to one of the most popular roads in Ojcowski National Park.
