For a unique experience and a very warm welcome, the stunning Wedgwood Museum is the place to visit - whether you just like looking at beautiful objects or have a specialist interest. We are the home of one of the most interesting ceramic collections in the world. Our galleries tell the story of Josiah Wedgwood, his family, and the company he founded two-and-a-half centuries ago.

New visitor experience for 2015! As a result, we are closing the site to customers from 24th December 2014 through until June 2015.

What an excellent place. So much stuff on display it was difficult to take it all in. The only drawback was lack of knowledge by the staff.

This museum, linked to the World of Wedgwood campus displays more types and shapes of pottery than you would think possible. But it also tells the story of the Wedgwood family and the company they created. And did you know, for example, that Charles Darwin was related to the Wedgwood family?

Really well laid out museum dating right back to the beginnings of the pottery up to some great modern pieces and shows how they have developed over a long period. Good things to do for children too.

If you love the history of pottery, this is the place to be. There are rows upon rows of clearly labelled exhibits for your perusal. It showcases the products from The 18th to 21st Century.

Amazed at the number of different styles Wedgwood produce and didn't realise they now incorporate Royal Doulton too. The skill of the workforce, the foresight of Josiah Wedgwood, all goes to show how industrious we were as a nation and how proud. Accessibility for those in wheelchairs or mobility scooters is very good as consideration has been made in all... More

We visited with our Jaguar Club. The visit had been booked for some time. The staff were extremely helpful in every aspect of making this a most enjoyable visit for our club. The refurbishment is amazing and the exhibitions are displayed imaginatively and with plenty of information. So much to see. We enjoyed coffee/tea and biscuits on arrival and then... More

Visited just because it would be "an interesting place" but was quite blown away how good it is. It should be of interest to almost everyone especially if you take the factory tour. The guide and the factory employees are so friendly . You can get close to the wonderfully skilled work they do and they are happy yo be... More

If you have an interest in the history of fine pottery this is a must. There is a vast range of Wedgewood dating back its beginning.
